1996 Ledaig Limited Edition Sherry Cask Finish Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

This quite rare Ledaig was made using some of the first peated whisky produced at Tobermory (distilling peated malt commenced in 1996). Labelled as a 'finish', other sources suggest it was exclusively matured in Oloroso Sherry casks.

Other reviews.... Absolutely sublime mouthfeel: dense yet passable, lush yet never boggy. The dark sugars and the barley interwangle quite deliciously with the underplayed smoke... a malt you feel at times is reaching for the stars.
