1996 Lake Breeze Bernoota Shiraz Cabernet

A blend of 55% shiraz and 45% cabernet from the Follet familly. For those not versed in the various Aboriginal languages, 'bernoota' means camp among the gum trees.Opaque crimson purple colour. The nose is very impressive and displays pronounced aromas of confectionary, spice, vanilla, blackberry and plum. The palate displays excellent fruit flavours of ripe plums, blackberry and spice with excellent length and depth of flavour. Perfect balance, a superbly structured wine, with very long plum, cedar, blackberry and spice aftertaste. Cellar 5-8 years.
