1996 Kay Brothers Amery Vineyards Shiraz

Is this as big as a wine gets? A monster from McLaren Vale - classic Kays, and a very generous 14.5% Alcohol Volume. Totally opaque colour with vibrant crimson purple mauve edges. This palate is a block of concentrated shiraz - flavours of blackberries, plums and ripe cherries with a hint of dark chocolate in the back ground. The tannin structure is firm, yet in perfect balance to the monumental layers of fruit. You'll have to be patient to get the best from this wine. Cellar 8-12 years.
