1996 was an almost perfect season in Margaret River allowing all wines to be picked at optimum ripeness.This wine is very similar to a Cote du Rhone Shiraz. The nose displays aromas of violets, mint and black cherry with dusty oak notes in the background. The palate has a silky fine grained tannin structure with cherry, chocolate, spice and pepper flavours dominating. The palate is a little tight at the moment - cellar 5 years. (14% Alcohol Volume).
