1996 Brokenwood Cricket Pitch Cabernet Merlot

A beautifully made wine with deep crimson mauve colour. The nose is filled with spicy mulberry, violet, spice and blackcurrant aromas with a hint of earthiness emerging as the last note. The palate displays lots of ripe fruit flavours dominated by mulberry spice and blackcurrant. Excellent length and depth of flavour, with fine grain tannins and long aftertaste of blackcurrant spice and cedar. Cellar 5 - 8 years.
