1996 Bristol Classic Caroni 15 Year Old Rum (700ml)

Bristol Spirits Limited specialise in seeking out small parcels of Caribbean's finest rums including single barrels, single estate or even a single still to show rum in its true unblended form. Ageing takes place at the distillery and/or in the UK. Minimum filtration allows the natural characteristics of each rum to shine.

Distilled in 1996 and bottled in 2011, the Caroni Estate Distillery (est. 1918), closed in 2003 and is now sadly, demolished. It was built on the site of an old sugar factory and for a period supplied rums to the British Navy. At the time, there were some eight to ten other sugar factories operating, each producing different types (and qualities) of rums, bought up by merchants and sold to rum shops all over the island.
