This is an outstanding example, made from a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot. The fruit was sourced from various vineyards in the McLaren Vale district each adding their own individual character to the wines final blend. The wine was aged in American Oak for 18 months. Opaque deep ruby, brick red colour. The nose is superb, displaying finesse and complexity. Aromas of spice, toasty oak, blackcurrant, mulberry and hints of violets. The palate displays great depth and concentration of flavour - just mouth filling. Flavours of spiced blackcurrants, liquorice and cedar. Perfect balance with soft, fine grained tannins and very long aftertaste. Cellar 3 - 5 years.
