1995 Isle of Jura Boutique Barrels JO Bourbon Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Part of the Jura distillery's 'Boutique Barrels' series of single cask whiskies, bottled at full cask strength.

Tasting note: Deep gold with pale gold hue. Moderate aromas of charry oak, biscuit and clove. A hint of mint gives freshness. Prickly and slightly hot at cask strength, the palate at first reveals medium dry, slightly herbal notes that are quickly swamped by intensely sweet boiled confectionary flavours, melting into the long aftertaste of confectionary, honeycomb and peppermint. Apart from the mid-palate burst, altogether a bit disjointed and definitely atypical of the Jura style. 56.5% Alc./Vol.
