1995 Henschke Cyril Henschke Cabernet Sauvignon

The 1995 vintage was a tough one with drought, frosts and a dry Spring and Summer reducing yields by up to 40%. Despite these conditions the 1995 vintage did still manage to produce some very high quality wines.Made from a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot and 14% Cabernet Franc. Opaque deep crimson colour. Outstanding aroma, displaying superb ripe fruit, with blackberry and plums dominant, followed by some confectionary and liquorice. The palate reflects the wonderfully ripe fruit characteristics of the nose. Soft tannins, perfect balance and long plum/spice, liquorice aftertaste. Cellar 8-10 years.
