This wine was the 1996 Jimmy Watson Trophy winner and is quickly gaining a reputation as one of Australia's premier wines. Winemaker Stephen Pannell only sources the finest parcels of fruit available to make this wine. Tasting Notes: Intense deep brick red colour. The nose displays ripe fruit aromas of blackberries, blackcurrants and blueberries with overtones of leather, nutmeg and toasty vanillin oak characters. The palate is rich, powerful and silky smooth. The powerful fruit flavours are well integrated with tobacco, spice and vanillin oak notes - excellent balance. Very long persistent aftertaste.
