1995 Delamere Chardonnay

This is a super complex wine, and a magnificent interpretation of the art of complex white wine making. Primary fruit aromas are superbly interwoven with an expression of the winemakers style, and masterly use of oak. The nose displays butterscotch, toasted oak and cashew aromas - which are distinct and powerful. The complexity of the wine really becomes apparent on the middle palate, with a range of secondary flavours. Cashews, biscuit and butterscotch with a strong bitter almond backbone. Excellent length and persistence, clean crisp acidity - quite dry with very long butterscotch aftertaste. Cellar 5 - 10 years.
