1995 Chapoutier Cotes Du Rhone Belleruche

A consistent performer - and a great value for money Cote du Rhone. Made from old vines Grenache, it doesn't have the weight of the Crozes Hermitage, but none the less is packed with flavour. Medium weight, brick red colour. Delightful cherry raspberry nose - quite fresh. The raspberry flavours dominate the palate, but much drier than expected - a wine with good length, soft tannin structure and long aftertaste. Cellar 2 - 3 years.
