Tasting Notes sourced from BRL Hardy.

1995 was a drought year in the Barossa Valley which resulted in very low yields but highly concentrated fruit. Made from very old low yielding Barossa Valley vines, this is huge wine with a 14.5% alcohol reading. The wine was matured in new American oak for twenty months. Intense plum red colour. The nose displays rich spicy chocolate and plum pudding aromas. The palate is full bodied and rich with fleshy plum flavours and an exceptionally long aftertaste. The acid levels are good with a silky smooth tannin structure. This is a very big wine with a cellaring potential of up to 10-15 years.
