1994 Yalumba 'D' Methode Champenoise

The current release of Yalumba D is possibly one of the best to date - it's gained depth of flavour and persistence, and lost some of the exceptionally high acid levels of the past.Bright pale straw colour, with fine profuse bead. The nose displays excellent yeast autolysis character, which carries right through the entire wine. The yeasty flavours marry well on the palate with the creamy texture, contributed by the Pinot Meunier component of the wine. The wine has excellent depth and persistence of flavour which lingers well onto the aftertaste. A beautiful drink, cellar 3 - 5 years.
