1994 Leo Buring Leonay DW G17 Riesling

The Leo Buring Leonay label is made from the top Riesling fruit from each vintage and is only made in exceptional years where the quality of fruit meets the winemakers standards. A superb example of an aged Riesling, with still another 5-8 years bottle age in front of it! Deep straw colour. Sup, developed ripe pear and toasted honey nose. The palate is mouthfilling and displays considerable complexity due to the bottle age. Surprisingly only subtle hints of 'kerosene' with a much greater emphasis on toasted honey and citrus palate flavours. Excellent length and depth. Crisp acidity, with long toasted honey aftertaste. An exceptional drink.
