1994 Leasingham Classic Clare Sparkling Shiraz

A MAGNIFICENT, RICH SPARKLING SHIRAZ showing some very fine bottle developed character. Totally opaque crimson black colour. Very fine profuse bead with excellent mauve mousse. The nose is beginning to show some bottle developed aroma over a background of very ripe spiced plums and stewed fruit. Generous, mouthfilling palate with the fine bubbles bursting to create a very creamy texture in the mouth. Flavours of confectionary and licquorice all sorts with spice and pepper in the background. Fine grained, soft tannins followed by a long plum aniseed aftertaste. A perfect companion for the Christmas turkey - and just for fun, try some with the pud!
