1994 Henschke Mount Edelstone Shiraz

Made from over 70 year old low yielding vines. The Shiraz was hand picked in mid April and matured in new and seasoned American and French oak hogsheads for 18 months. An excellent year with a mild dry summer resulting in exceptional fruit quality with below average yields. Deep crimson colour. The nose displays a perfumed bouquet of spicy black berry fruits, plums and prunes, with underlying complexities of vanilla, cedar, minty oak and mossy notes. The palate is rich, soft and full with good balance and a soft tannin finish. Cellar 10 years. 14.2% Alcohol Volume.
