Notes sourced from Grant Burge.

Made from 75 year old Barossa Valley vines which produce wines that are big, black and bold, the Meshach Shiraz is only made in top years. Grant Burge rates the 1994 Meshach as one of his best to date - a magnificent full bodied red displaying amazing concentration of fruit flavours underpinned by marvelous oak treatment. All the fruit was hand picked at optimum ripeness - 14.5% Baume and matured in new American oak hogsheads. The nose displays dusty fine grained oak aromas. The palate has wonderful fruit depth, complexity and richness - plenty of spicy, peppery and jammy raspberry flavours. This is a huge wine with the tannin structure to match - still a very young wine which can be cellared for 15-20 years, providing possibly its best drinking a decade from now.
