Neil Ashmead usesAmerican oak to enhance the fruit rather than dominate. Opaquecrimson mauve colour. Superb spiced blackcurrant nose withcedary vanilla overtones. The palate displays seductive softnessof tannins and succulent ripe blackberry flavours, with a hintof raspberry and liquorice notes echoing in the background.Superb balance and very pronounced long blackpepper aftertaste.Cellar 5 years if you can keep your hands off it!\Z
