Neil Ashmeads wines are as extroverted as the man himself - they are unashamedly Barossa, filled with ripe voluptuous fruit and generous lashings of American oak. Neil describes the wine as "A red drinkers wine sensation" - he's right in a way - there is no shortage of anything - if anything it's a wine drinkers overload'. A blend of 60% Cabernet, 30% Shiraz and 10% Merlot. Deep crimson colour - uplifted voluptuous nose with loads of plum, stewed fruit, spice and American oak. The palate continues the extravaganza with more ripe plum, chocolate and liquorice flavours, with American oak and stewed fruit emerging. Fine tannin structure and very long mouthfilling aftertaste. Neil's Extravaganza. Cellar 5 years.
