1994 Cullen Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

Margaret River is on a roll, the great wines just keep coming up year after year, with barely a blip - and as the years pass on, and the vines get older, the quality improvements follow. A blend of 60% Cabernet, 30% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, this is a magnificently concentrated red. Intense deep crimson purple colour, an essay in visual delight! The nose displays concentration of fruit and complexity. Blackcurrant, ripe plums, mulberry spice, cigar box and cedar all lead into keen expectations of the palate - and magnificent it is! The depth offlavour is exceptional - rich ripe concentrated plum, spice, mulberry and blackcurrant flavours over a fine oak balance and fine grained tannin structure. A very long chocolate spice aftertaste. Superb, cellar 10 - 15 years.
