Berry Bros. & Rudd is Britain's oldest wine and spirit merchant, having traded from the same shop for over 300 years. The company has supplied fine spirits through their `Berrys' Own Selection' label for well over a century, which also makes Berrys one of the earliest Independent whisky bottlers. By 1909, they were offering 1897 Macallan and 1885 Talisker by the gallon or dozen; fine and old Irish Whiskey in Sherry casks of 7, 14 and 28 gallons, to name a few.

This is an unusual 13 year old single-cask, cask-strength malt from the little-seen Craigellachie distillery. The name Craigellachie means 'rocky hill' and refers to the cliff that overlooks the Spey. The distillery was built in 1891 and presently maintains a low profile with most of its production being reserved for the Dewar's blends.

Bottled 2007 from cask # 1057. 56.4% Alc./Vol.
