This is a classic Barossa Shiraz displaying lots of very ripe plum and stewed fruit aroma and flavour. Deep ruby colour. The nose displays ripe stewed fruit aromas, with ripe plums, vanilla and spice. The palate is voluptuous with very ripe blackberry and ripe plum flavours over a peppery background. The American oak is obvious, but is capably supported by the rich ripe fruit flavours. Fine tannin structure, excellent balance with long plummy stewed fruit aftertaste. A very obvious wine, placing little intellectual demand on the drinker, with 3 - 5 years cellaring potential.
