1992 Moss Wood Cabernet Sauvignon

Crop Yield: 4.0 tonnes per acre.The additional Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot components are paying dividends as the nose is becoming more sophisticated. Medium weight crimson ruby colour. Delightful aromas of marzipan, spice and blackcurrant with a hint of violets. On the palate the blackcurrant and cedar flavours remain dominant, the tannin levels are fine grained, yet quite firm and are followed by a long cedar and leather aftertaste. The wine reflects the vintage year with its less than expected levels of concentration, however, still an impressive red given the 2 inches of rain during vintage.
