1992 Bollinger Grande Annee Champagne

This new release from Bollinger is one of the finest and most concentrated Bollingers to be released. Ghislain de Montgolfier, President of Champagne Bollinger, regards this as one of the ‘more masculine Champagnes.’ Brilliant pale straw colour with excellent mousse and super fine, persistent bead. Made from a blend of 65% Pinot Noir and 35% Chardonnay, 1992 was a Great Bollinger year. The nose is very impressive with strong yeast autolysis character, followed by strong biscuit, nut, mushroom and quince aromas. The palate is remarkable for the length and persistence of flavour - with a hint of biscuit and citrus on the afterflavour. A wonderful drink to celebrate the start of the real Millenium. A NEAR PERFECT CHAMPAGNE.
