1992 Adelphi Glen Grant 21 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

A new extra aged Glen Grant release from one of Scotland's top independent bottlers, Adelphi. This was distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2014 after maturation in a refill Bourbon cask. Only 219 bottles are available worldwide.

Tasting note: Brilliant clarity in the bright straw / gold appearance. Hints of shellac in the opening sniff, that's also mildly fruity. Much more defined after a short breathe with distinct ripe cantaloupe / nashi pair notes delivered with sensational purity and freshness over a vanilla base. Superbly creamy-yet-fresh and fruity entry, drying in the middle stage with dilute honey, mocha, cocoa and vanilla flavours followed by a warming surge that takes the profile through to a fresh, drying fade. Glen Grant at its best - ultra pure and with the volume turned up several notches. 56.6% Alc./Vol.
