1990 Yalumba The Reserve Cabernet Shiraz

Produced from a blend of Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon & Barossa Shiraz. The wine displays excellent colour for a 15+ year old wine – deep crimson red colour – near opaque, with brick red crimson hue. The nose is a little subdued at first but slowly yields aromas of cedar, leather, dark chocolate and spice. The wine has become more refined and elegant with bottle age displaying flavours of dusty cedar, leather, earth and dark chocolate to the fore with blackcurrant, liquorice, spice & mocha notes. Dryish tannins but balanced, excellent length.
