1990 Glenmorangie Grand Vintage 25 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

“Created against all odds” from one of the most challenging barley harvests in living memory, this is the replacement for the ‘Quarter Century’ 25 Year Old. Also carefully nurtured for 25 years in the finest ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, it's the first bottling in a series forming part of a new range of super-premium single malts from Glenmorangie. Designed to showcase some of distillery's rarest whiskies and cask types, the collection takes its name from the largest of Glenmorangie’s 19th century bonded warehouses, Warehouse No.1. Initially a maturation warehouse, in 1990 it was transformed into a still house (it was the only building large enough to house Glenmorangie’s majestically tall distillation equipment).

Created with collector’s in mind, even more so than its predecessor, the 1990 Grand Vintage comes sumptuously presented (the packaging won a gold medal at the Luxury Packaging Awards). Bill Lumsden describes the whisky as ”…brimming with aromas of heather honey, mandarin and candied fruits and tastes of orange syrup and vanilla, zesty, herbal top notes, baked apples and brown sugar.”
