An extra aged Mortlach from independent bottler, Duncan Taylor. The 'Rare Auld' series are bottled as 'single casks', at cask strength, with no chill filtration or colouring.

Tasting note: Pale gold. Initially quite shy. Several minutes in the glass reveals an intense orchard fruit bouquet including spicy pear, semi-ripe apricot and hints of beeswax. Creamy on entry with the fruitiness accompanied by dense juicy malt and firm yet balanced spices. Finish features stewed pear drying with vanilla and biscuity malt. Lovely freshness throughout. Great balance. Charming if slightly restrained. Add a few drops of water. 54.1% Alc./Vol.
