1978 Robert Mondavi Winery Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep Sienna brown colour. Well matured and at it's peak. Superb cedar, leather, violets and confectionary nose. Still very much alive and wonderfully complex, followed by a trace of prune and a hint of toffee. A mouthfilling wine displaying cedar and confectionary flavours with blackcurrant still managing to manifest itself, prunes, cedar, leather and truffle - wonderful complexity. Fine grained tannins, perfect balance and warming finish with exceptionally long cedar truffle confectionary aftertaste. A wonderful bottle of aged wine. Drink now.
