1976 Tomintoul Vintage 36 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

In 2007, the original bottling of Tomintoul 1976 Vintage captured the whisky after 31 years in barrel. The latest bottling (a full 5 years older) from the same vintage reveals a deliciously mature dram of even richer character. Whisky lovers now have the opportunity to enjoy this rarest of malts, with all casks personally selected by Master Distiller, Robert Fleming.

[previous bottling tasted] ...Double-whammy of exotic fruits and honeyed vanilla points to the unmistakable influence of very old bourbon casks. A malt that reeks of great age from every pore. Fabulous interaction between the oak and barley but the great age is driven home by the spicier, drier riches that cling to the understated oiliness so typical of Tomintoul. Long and at times improbably lush with the malts having a distinct say before settling below the sea of gentle smoke and oak.
