A superb bottle of wine, displaying great complexity due to bottle age. Chateau Climens is the highest vineyard of the Commune, and is made entirely from Semillon grapes. Its elevation and fine red and gravel soils over limestone contribute to the sites excellent drawn age qualities. Yields are restricted to 12 hectoliters per hectare which also contributes to the richness of the style. Deep brassy gold colour. The nose plays strong botryhus character with honeyed apricot aromas. The palate is suprisingly fresh, with no signs of drying out or presence of developed bottle flavour. Rich , luscious with acidity remaining quite fresh. An excellent example capable of another 10 or so years bottle age.
