Glengoyne released a slew of single casks through the 1990s. Most are now extremely rare. Many distilled through 70s were considered spectacular. During a cross tasting of the series, Malt Maniac, Serge Valentin commented, "Quite hard to get a winner … I think I would go for the Glengoyne 1971/1998, with a very strong second, the Glengoyne Cask 3854."

We have one out of only 210 bottles drawn from cask no. 3854.
Distilled in 1970 and bottled in 1998 at natural strength, given this distillery's penchant for sherry casks and Serge's strong review below, you can expect this to be a quite a malt.
