That Boutique-y Whisky Company is a new generation bottler of single malt Scotch whisky, single grains, blended malts and blends, launched by UK-based fine spirits producer and retailer, Master of Malt.

These folks hand select spirit from legendary distilleries and bottle it in extremely small batches. Each whisky comes adorned with an eye-catching, if quirky, comic book-style label featuring the great and the good from the whisky industry, as well as some rather good hidden jokes. Bottles are also individually numbered.

The single malts in the range come without age statements. Cask regime is also not disclosed. The company declares that each batch depends entirely on the quality of, and how much whisky is received, and in some cases the whiskies in the bottle can vary in age by as much as thirty years. Outturn for each respective batch is anything between 200 - 800 bottles.

The label for this Caol Ila edition of 732 bottles features the view from the Caol Ila still house across to the Paps of Jura - perhaps one of the greatest in Scotland - but what's this? - Prince Vultan from a certain epic 1980s movie is charging across the water with Jura's famed deer population in tow!
