$599.88 Dozen
ABV: 20%

A new Aussie liqueur produced from pure Ligurian bee honey, found only on Kangaroo Island. The Ligurian bee was introduced from Italy to Kangaroo Island in 1885 and is the purest strain of bee in the world and renowned for the quality of its honey. Apart from honey, Island Sting is also flavoured with a mix of natural herbs, spices and tree barks found on the island.

Tasting note: Bright deep gold/orange appearance is slightly viscous. A curious opening aroma is reminiscent of raisin toast or Christmas fruit mince pie. Aeration accentuates the sweet spices, in particular cinnamon and clove, moreso the latter. Light to medium bodied, svelte textured and semi sweet, the palate repeats the fruit mince pie / sweet spice theme. Finishes a little short. Semi sweet clove and cinnamon aftertaste. A pleasant if unusual liqueur in the genre - the honey flavour never really makes itself present. 20% Alc./Vol.
