A blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28% Merlot that was matured for 12 months in French oak of which 60% was new and the balance second fill barrels. Totally opaque black dark crimson red colour with deep dark crimson red hue. The nose displays perfumed scents of blackcurrant, violets, dark chocolate and spearmint followed by a hint of spicy cedar as an end note. Very concentrated the palate delivers mouthfilling flavours of ripe blackcurrant and dark mulberry followed by a touch of spearmint with a spicy back palate all ably supported by a dryish, chewy tannin structure. Excellent length with long aftertaste of blackcurrant, spearmint, cedar and spice.
Cellar 4-5 years (2016-2017).
Alc 14.5%
