A rich ripe example of Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir
Semi translucent crimson mauve colour with mauve brick red hue. Aromas of very ripe plum, black cherry, ripe strawberry and anise. The palate displays excellent weight with dark rich flavours of blackberry, plum, anise, spice and cedar delivering an excellent power wave of flavour. Fine grained very smooth tannins with long aftertaste of black cherry, anise and spice.
Cellar 2-3 years (2012-2013)
14.5% Alc
Other Reviews….
Owner/winemaker Stephen George was one of the pioneers of pinot noir in the Adelaide Hills. It shows some colour development; as always, has an extremely expressive and complex bouquet with forest undergrowth and spicy red fruits; the palate is a precise replay of the bouquet, with great length and immaculate balance.
Drink to 2016 with wild mushroom risotto
