An impressive example of the blend. Opaque black purple colour with black purple hue, showing plenty of youthful vibrancy. Top note of plum, followed by vanilla, dried apricot and spice. The dried apricot flavours are quite pronounced on the palate, followed by plum, spice and black pepper. Fine dryish and persistent tannins. Very spicy aftertaste. Cellar 4-5 years (2011-2012) Alc/Vol: 14.5%
Other Reviews.... Great colour, and a perfumed bouquet to a vibrant and fresh wine, the viognier lift working to perfection with the medium-bodied fruit; long finish. Drink to 2016, $24, Screwcap 95 points James Halliday - Australian Wine Companion
