Opaque black brick red colour with very deep dark brick red hue. The nose displays excellent intensity with lifted aromas of mocha and vanilla followed by some plum, liquorice allsorts and confectionary. Full bodied, generous and opulent the palate displays a plush fleshy texture with flavours of liquorice, dark plum, chocolate and spice followed by a hint of blackpepper. Excellent length. Velvet smooth tannins with very long aftertaste of spice, dark plum, liquorice and mocha.
Superb drinking now but also capable of a further 2-3 years cellaring.
