Mulberry black purple colour with violet hue and excellent cling to the glass walls. Top notes of liquorice, spice and toasted oak with that mulberry character reappearing, complimenting the mauve mulberry colour, followed by notes of blackberry, liquorice and vanilla and finishing with end notes of leather and truffle. The palate flavour profile is generous but not a powerhouse of concentration as is common with the top Heathcote Shiraz wines. There is a touch of leather, liquorice, truffle and spice evident on the palate. Fine grained, slightly chalky tannins, but balanced. Aftertaste of mulberry, spice and liquorice.
