TASTED: 23 Aug 2004 |
The long cool dry autumn vintage conditions extended vintage over a two month period. The longer than usual ripening period resulted in intense flavour development and slightly higher acid levels. This tasting sample came from tank and reveals brilliant pale straw colour. Fresh, aromatic nose of ripe gooseberry, spice and tropical fruit. The palate has impressive depth with again ripe gooseberry and tropical fruit flavours dominating and lasting well into the aftertaste. Crisp acid backbone. Drink (2005) Alc./Vol. 13.5%
