A full bodied red. Totally opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson hue- the colour leads to a high palate expectation that is certainly met. Aroma of violets, cedar, vanilla and blackberry – not powerful but quite evident. The palate delivers the weight and flavour concentration that the colour has indicated. Very ripe plum, vanilla and spice flavours are integrated with a blackpepper back palate, over layered by liquorice which runs well into the aftertaste. Excellent balance, with fine grained tannins. Cellar 3-4 years (2007-2008) Alc/Vol: 14.5% RATING: 93/100 VALUE: XXXXX/5
