This wine has been made by John Ellis who has sourced grapes from several vineyards in the Heathcote district. Very deep black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of liquorice, spice and dark chocolate, overlaid with vanilla, mocha, blackberry and black pepper. The palate has good weight, but without the concentration of flavours found in Heathcote’s top reds. Flavours of spice, vanilla, black pepper and plum emerge – Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of spice, plum and black pepper.
