Very little of this wine was produced. There is an increasing trend to add small quantities of Viognier to Shiraz, with winemakers revealing that even a tiny amount can have a dramatic impact on the wines aroma and flavour profile. Opaque crimson black colour with mauve purple hue. This is a wine that has excellent colour cling to the glass. Aroma of liquorice, mocha, vanilla and spice provide for a nose with excellent lift. The palate structure is a touch drier than the straight Shiraz, as well as being, slightly firmer, yet still very well balanced. On the palate flavours of spice, liquorice and plum persist, followed by dry lingering tannins. Cellar 4-5 years (2006-2007). Alc/Vol 14% RATING: 93/100 VALUE: XXXX
