Brilliant purple mauve colour that clings to the glass. Superb lifted spice, vanilla, cinnamon nose, with freshly crushed blackberries super imposed over the top - a superb sniff! The palate is generous, dominated by flavours of plum, spice and vanilla. Fine grained, firmish, dry tannin structure, excellent balance, followed by a very long pepper, plum and spice aftertaste. Cellar 8-10 years.
