Tatachilla have become one of McLaren Vales most consistent producers and their Shiraz has become quite a star with the Tatachilla Foundation Shiraz being the super performer. Opaque crimson purple colour. Peppery, ripe plum, liquorice nose with vanillin overtones, youthful and lifted. On the palate generous flavours of ripe blackberries fill the mouth supported by blackpepper, chocolate and liquorice. Excellent length, fine grained, firm dry tannins followed by long chocolate, liquorice, blackberry aftertaste. Cellar 5-8 years. Excellent value for money.
