Whilst it's not stated precisely how this wine was made, one can assume that it was by the process of cryoextraction - that is freezing of the juice to separate the water from the sugar. This wine is a blend of Riesling and Gewurztraminer. Bright brassy gold colour. Uplifted nose of apricot, compot, lychee and spice. The palate is quite luscious with flavours of honey and raisin compot. Clean but lacking great concentration. The acid levels are sufficient to cut across the sweet fruit flavours. Long raisin, compot aftertaste. Cellar 1 - 3 years.
