Deep purple mauve colour. The nose is filled with aromas of spice, cinnamon and blackberry with a slightly tarry final note. The palate has plenty of structure- slightly ripe Victorian warm climate fruit flavours are dominant. Ripe plums, blackberry and liquorice of sorts fill the palate and are enhanced by a touch of musk, which runs right through the wine. Fine firm dry tannins with long dry tarry blackberry spice aftertaste. Cellar 5-8 years.
