Winemakers Sergio Carlei and Alan Blyton have produced a run of very successful wines under the Green Vineyard label. The lads source their fruit from various growers, and obviously have their sights set as premium producers. This wine was made from 80% Heathcote and 20% Geelong Shiraz. Deep crimson mauve colour. The nose displays excellent spicy blackcurrant and black pepper aromas. On the palate generous blackberry, pepper, spice and cedar flavours are all well integrated. Excellent balance and long cedar confectionary blackberry aftertaste. The tannins are firm but well balanced - a 10 year cellaring proposition.
