The Penfolds Bin 128 have always been the most subtle of the Penfolds reds, however, that's not to say they don't have depth and persistence of flavour - its expression is less explosive then say Bin 28 or Bin 389.Deep crimson colour. Delicate, spicy blackberry nose with some vanillin oak background notes. The palate is subdued at first but reveals a structure that will ensure at least a 5-8 year bottle life. Blackberry and blackpepper flavours are off set by fine, quite dry lingering tannins and a spicy pepper aftertaste.
